BEST ALBUM 2018

There are so many choices for best album in 2018.  After much deliberation and debate we are all in agreement.  Drum roll. The best album in 2018 is 'Holy Hell' from UK outfit Architects. This is a band that has been around since 2006 with over eight albums, two lead singers and several changes in musical direction.  We all thought it couldn't get any better than the release of their sixth studio album "Lost Forever Lost Together'. We were wrong.

The death of Tom Searle in 2016 put the band at a cross roads. A decision was made that the band wanted to carry on with the commitment to only release music that Tom would be proud of.  Well Tom must be proud.  'Holy Hell' has lifted the bar.  'Hereafter' is the album's first single. This is a band that has come out fighting even with broken bones.

'Doomsday' is another song that captures the essence of 'Holy Hell'. It was partly written by Tom Searle before his death. The song deals with extreme loss and is a moving tribute.

'Royal Beggars' is another standout on the album and is an emotional roller coaster ride that begs you to take a good hard look at who you are.  Are you listening?

Architects are on the road to promote the new album. Tour dates in 2019 are mainly in Europe but they are playing in the States in May 2019 at the 'Welcome to Rockville' in Jacksonville, Florida, the 'Epicenter Festival' in Rockingham, North Carolina and the 'Sonic Temple Art and Music Festival' in Columbus, Ohio.  Tickets are available on the band's or Epitaph's websites.
