Have you ever had one of those moments where you re-discover a band you loved a long time ago? I think I just had one of those moments. I was watching the Keanu Reeves' latest instalment of his assassin franchise John Wick: Chapter 3. At the end of the movie was a song where the singer's voice sounded very familiar. I had to know who was it. A quick google search and it ended up being the voice of Gavin Rossdale, the lead singer from Bush. The song was called 'Bullet Holes'.
One of my favorite albums of all time was Bush's first album 'Sixteen Stone'. I had a quick search through my CD collection and there it was. I have no idea why I had completely lost all memory of Bush but I did. I slipped the CD into my stereo and it was pure bliss. Everything truly was zen.
'Glycerine' is another number that is rock gold.
Another song on that album that I can't get enough of is "Machinehead'.
Razorblade Suitcase was Bush's follow up album which I also had. Without doubt my favorite song from that album was 'Swallowed'.
In addition to 'Bullet Proof' being on the John Wick 3 soundtrack its also the first single from Bush's up and coming album 'The Mind Plays Tricks on you'. At this stage the album is scheduled to be released in April 2020 and 'Bullet Holes' has peeked my interest. I will definitely keep my eye on the band's website for new stuff that is likely to be released before the album's arrival.
