The 1865 is a band out of Brooklyn, New York. The band signed with Mass Appeal in 2018 and released the album 'Don't Tread on We!'. 'Get Out' is the first single and it is a politically charged masterpiece.
Songs on the album are written from the perspective of a person recently freed from human bondage in 1865. It is brutal and is a wake up call.
The 1865 is a band that has a strong pedigree and was founded by creative tour de force Sacha Jenkins. Carolyn 'Honeychild' Coleman's vocals are haunting.
