Dire
Dire are a heavy metal band to emerge from Quitman Georgia. They have been compared to bands like Five Finger Death Punch, Three Days Grace and12 Stones. I think the comparisons are a bit misplaced as they might be in the same genre as these bands but they are forging their own unique sound. To-date the band has released two EPs and one studio album. Volume 1 is the band's one and only studio album and was released on the independent label Sancrosanct. 'Beyond Reach' was a single from the album and it rocks.
Another great song on the album is 'Only Soul'. If you listen to this song a few times, you won't be able to get enough. It is a song to love.
To be totally honest with you, I don't know why this band hasn't taken off. The music business is a fickle one but I have no doubt that If they were in LA they would be massive.
'Forever New' is a more recent offering from the band and it shows that this band has a lot to offer.
'Born to Lose' is another great offering from the band. I really feel this is a band that is going to be huge.
It is only a matter of time before the world jumps on the Dire bandwagon. Keep an eye on the band's website for new releases and tours. Their website is currently taking pre-orders for 'Volume II'.
