The Stooges
Iggy Pop and the Stooges are rock legends. They pioneered the raw high energy sound of proto-punk. The band's first two albums 'The Stooges' and 'Funhouse' laid the foundations of a sound and genre that has endured over the decades. It is no surprise that the Sex Pistols did covers of "No Fun', 'I wanna be your Dog' and 'Search and Destroy'.
Iggy Pop is a living legend. If you were lucky enough to have attended Desert Daze a couple of years ago you will know why Iggy is the original wild child. When he is up on stage he demands your attention.
Raw Power is The Stooges' third studio album and it cemented the band's influence on the punk and indie rock music scene that it inspired. 'Search and destroy' is the lead single from the album and it pulls no punches.
It is hard to believe that Iggy Pop is still performing but he is. If he comes your way, enjoy.
