Bikini Kill

Bikini Kill are the band that is credited for pioneering the Riot Grrrl underground feminist punk movement that emerged in the Pacific Northwest.  Bikini Kill's first EP was produced by Fugazi's front man, Ian MacKaye, and it exploded on the scene.

The band's album was titled 'Pussy Whipped' and there were no topics that were off limits.  There was no doubt that this band were pushing their third wave feminist agenda. This album spawned the punk classic 'Rebel Girl'.  The single version of the song was produced by Joan Jett.

The band went on to produce a split album 'Our Troubled Youth/ Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah' with Huggy Bear.  To promote the album both bands toured the UK, which was captured in the documentary 'It changed my life: Bikini Kill in the UK'.

'Reject All American' was the band fourth and final album. 'R.I.P' says it all.

'Singles' was a compilation album and was Bikini Kills' final output. This is the album to put on high rotation.  There is no song on this album that doesn't scream the high intensity that is Bikini Kill.
