Car Seat Headrest

Car Seat Headrest is a low-fi DIY band that deserves our attention.  With over 12 self-released albums to their credit they have shown us all what is possible.  In 2015, their persistence paid off when they signed with Matador Records. Their first album with Matador was 'Teens of Style'. The album was a compilation of reworked songs from previous releases. 'No Passion' was the first song to be released from the album.

'Teens of Denial' quickly followed a year later and was the first album with Matador to feature new material. The album made an impression with the release of 'Vincent'.

'Twin Fantasy (Face to Face)' was the next album to follow which was a re-recording of the band's sixth album 'Twin Fantasy'. The rework paid off and it broke into several charts around the world including reaching the number 3 spot in Billboard's Indie Album Charts. Not a bad effort for Will Toledo and the boys from Leesburg, Virginia.

The band's latest offering is 'Commit Yourself Completely'. It is the second live album from Car Seat Headrest and captures the highlights from their 2018 world tour. 'Fill in the Blank' live at the Newport Music Hall in Ohio is on the album.

The tour may be over but the band continues to play intermittent shows.  The only gig currently on the band's website is the Corona Capital festival in Mexico City.
