Måneskin
Måneskin are riding high after recently winning the most bizarre music song competition in the world, Eurovision. If you have never heard of Eurovision it is watched by more people than the Super Bowl. Hard to believe, I know. It is best described as a freak show. Predominantly European countries send their best or worst acts to compete for glory. Normally, power ballads or radio ready pop wins the day. But not this year. This year's winner was Italy's Måneskin and they are a rock band. I had never heard a rock song be sung in Italian before so it was a new experience for me. I couldn't get over the outfits they are wearing, I think it is a song that could grow on me.
Måneskin's songs are usually in Italian so I don't hold up much hope of the band expanding its fan base beyond Europe. They have done one song in English and it sounds interesting. So you never know.
