Powderfinger
I have watched a lot of live streaming events put out by a whole bunch of bands and Powderfinger's recent 'One Night Lonely' was one of the best. I first discovered this Australian band when I lived in Germany and heard their song 'My Happiness' on the radio. I don't know what it is about this band but lyrically their songs really connect with me.
When I watched Powderfinger's live stream it really made me realise I need to change my internet service provider. I wish I had the connection speeds this live stream demonstrates is possible with each band member in a different location and sometimes in a different state. This is a concert to support local bands and a mental health service called 'Beyond Blue'. When the band's lead singer Bernard Fanning sings the last song 'These Days' it sent a chill down my spine. The words 'these days are like nothing that I had planned' really captures the moment that we all find ourselves in. Be patience when you watch this video as it takes about 20 seconds to get going.
